Our production

M-KAE collections have been designed and produced in collaboration with our factories located in Portugal & Shenzhen, China.
M-KAE collections are built to be worn through different seasons. The focus of the collections isn’t on following trends, but on high-quality designs that fit well. Every collection, we re-introduce essential pieces in new colors and fabrics. These essentials have been fitted and tested so they can lay the groundwork for a superb wardrobe.
By visiting our suppliers & being in active communication with them daily, we have built strong and reliable relationships throughout the whole production chain.

The beginning

For us, it is very important to be transparent with you.

Through our Swedish agent, we work with a manufacturer in Shenzhen. Our agent lived in Shenzhen studying mandarin for years herself and made a strong relationship with the manufacturer and the industry.

She still travels to visit our manufacturer on a regular basis, and it is important to us that all of our products are made under good conditions.

Future production

In March 2022 we went to Portugal in search for finding the perfect suppliers for our future production. Our goal was to find a supplier who could make the best quality and the finest material. The trip was a success, and we found our perfect match.

Visiting factories in Portugal offers a unique opportunity to see the steps of production firsthand. During the visit, we were shown around the factories and introduced to the nice people who work there. We saw the process of making a knit from start to finish, including the use of advanced technology and traditional techniques. It's a great way to understand the hard work and dedication that goes into creating high-quality products.

Portugal has a rich history of craftsmanship and are known for their production of high-quality pieces, attention to detail, commitment to quality.

The materials are often sourced locally, allowing for a more sustainable production process.

We are beyond proud that our future collections is ethically produced in Portugal.
